Preparing for a fitness event is just as important as taking part! The most important aims in exercise preparation are to provide your body with enough fuel and water to complete the task, remain injury-free, and recover swiftly.
The following information is to help you prepare for the event, avoid injury, ensure you make it to the finish line, and most importantly…enjoy the ride. We'll continue to add information to this page in the lead up to the 2018 Ride, so check back regularly for updates.
The Perth Cycling Group (PCG) - formerly the Perth Integrated Health Cycling Group (PIHCG) – are joining us again in 2018 as the Event Managers for the MSWA Ocean Ride.
Apart from their well-known array of cycling events, PCG are also the oldest and most established Aust Cycle training school in Western Australia. Boasting 20 years of expertise in cycling training, they will be offering a series of SIX training rides in preparation for the MSWA Ocean Ride.
These sessions will be held at various locations along the 2018 courses, to help riders orientate to the event. Specific details relating to each training session will be released 3 days before the appointed training ride date, and this will include confirmation of the time, location and other specific requirements.
While all of the sessions are FREE to attend, you must be a registered 2018 MSWA Ocean Ride participant to take part.

*You must be a registered 2018 MSWA Ocean Ride participant to take part in these training rides. Each training ride must have 10 people registered, otherwise the session will not go ahead.
