Preparing for a fitness event is just as important as taking part! The most important aims in exercise preparation are to provide your body with enough fuel and water to complete the task, remain injury-free, and recover swiftly.

The following information is to help you prepare for the event, avoid injury, ensure you make it to the finish line, and most importantly…enjoy the ride. We'll continue to add information to this page in the lead up to the 2018 Ride, so check back regularly for updates.

Training Rides

Our good friends at Perth Integrated Health Cycling Group (PIHCG) will be running a series of training rides in the lead up to this year’s event. Whether you’re looking to familiarise yourself with either the 30km or 50km course, or just get into practice for the event, then these training rides are for you! They’ll take you through various areas of the courses, including Fremantle, City Beach and Hillarys.

To register to be part of these FREE training rides, please email IanWee@pihc.com.au with your name and contact information. The staff at PIHCG will then get back in touch to confirm further training details (dates, times, start points etc.) as well as have you complete an indemnity form.

*You must be a registered 2018 MSWA Ocean Ride participant to take part in these training rides. Each training ride must have 10 people registered, otherwise the session will not go ahead
