The City of Joondalup Event Village
The finish line for the 2017 MSWA Ocean Ride at Whitfords Nodes, Hillarys will once again be turned into our 'City of Joondalup Event Village'. With a carnival-like atmosphere, the finish line will feature various exhibitors, food and beverage vendors, children's activities and fantastic live entertainment. With so much going on, why not have your family and friends come and cheer you on at the finish line, enjoy a bite to eat and stay for the live music and award presentations!
The 'Talia Hart Duo' will bring you soulful vocals flooded with warm and husky tones while you sit back and relax after your ride. Playing fresh arrangements of your favourite soul, pop and r&b tunes from the 50's classics to more recent hits, they will leave you feeling soothed and energised.
Our friends from The Entertainment Bank will be helping us out with plenty of activities for our younger riders! They will be bringing along some very talented staff to help with face painting, and will also be setting up a bouncy castle and 'Imagination Playground'. The 'Imagination Playground' sees children completing a series of tasks (building towers etc.) to help develop their motor skills. To incorporate an understanding of what it's like to live with MS, children will be given 3D glasses to mimic blurred vision - a symptom of MS.
Balloon artist Aaron Smyth will also be coming along to create some amazing balloon animals for children young and old! He's internationally and nationally recognised as one of the leading balloon twisters in the Southern Hemisphere, so be prepared to be suprised by his creations.
Food & Beverage Vendors
A wide range of food and beverage vendors will be set-up, so that you can enjoy plenty of tasty treats after your ride. With a focus on healthy eating, there will be something for everyone to enjoy! Our 2017 vendors include;
